Hon'ble Judges Library, High Court of Chhattisgarh came into existence in the year of 2000 with the formation of High Court of Chhattisgarh. The High Court Judges Library acts as a legal resource center for assisting the Courts. The Judges Library is a centralized air-conditioned big hall. It is managed by a team of skilled staff to fulfill the information needed by the Hon'ble Judges and Officers of the Court by offering a wide range of services through legal resources and subscribed on-line legal Journals. The Library remains open from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on all working days of the Court and Registry. The Judges Library Contains significant legal literature with approximate collection of about 81647 documents including Legal Books, Dictionaries, Encyclopedia, Law Commission Reports, Gazette, Government Publications, Digest of Journals, Central and State Acts/Rules and Bound Volumes of Legal Journals. It subscribes about 62 Indian and foreign legal journals. The Library has strength of Eleven staff including a Librarian, Seven Assistant Librarian and three supporting staff. The users of the Library are Hon'ble Judges, Officers of Registry, trainees of different Law Universities and Legal Assistants attached to the Hon'ble Judges and Advocates practicing in High Court.
The Judges Library is a grid of Libraries. In addition to Central Library, it also maintains all Court Room Libraries and Residential Libraries at the residence offices of all the sitting Judges.
The Judges Library works under the guidance of the Library Committee. The Library Committee, consists of two Hon'ble Judges. It has been constituted by the Hon'ble Chief Justice for supervision & consideration of the matters
