Hon'ble Judges Library, The Hon’ble Judges Library at the High Court of Chhattisgarh was established in 2000. It serves as a legal resource center, assisting the Courts. The library, housed in a centralized air-conditioned hall, provides a wide range of services to the Hon’ble Judges and Court Officers through legal resources and online legal journals. Its collection includes approximately 117,000 documents, such as legal books, dictionaries, encyclopedias, Law Commission reports, gazettes, government publications, and bound volumes of legal journals. The library is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on all working days of the Court and Registry. Additionally, it subscribes to about 62 Indian and foreign legal journals.

The library currently subscribes to approximately 48 Indian legal journals, including one foreign legal journal, and has access to 10 online databases/software. The library staff consists of eleven members, including a librarian, two senior assistant librarians, five assistant librarians, and three supporting staff. The library serves Hon’ble Judges, officers, employees of the registry, trainees from various law universities, and legal assistants attached to the Hon’ble Judges and practicing advocates in the High Court.

The Judges Library is a network of libraries. In addition to the Central Library, it also maintains Court Room Libraries and Residential Libraries at the offices of all sitting Hon’ble Judges. The Hon’ble Judges Library operates under the guidance of the Library Committee, which consists of three Hon’ble Judges. The Committee has been constituted by the Hon’ble Chief Justice to oversee matters such as selecting and purchasing new books, journals, handling bills, and addressing other library-related issues, including those pertaining to District Courts.
