ABOUT THE COMMITTEE

 

There is a general perception in villagers, needy people or underprivileged people that approaching the High Court for legal remedy is unaffordable but this is not true because Chhattisgarh High Court Legal Services Committee, Bilaspur, is functioning for those people. For providing legal aid and advice free of cost (to the poor litigants), the Committee has been constituted dated 05 th December, 2003 under the Legal Services Authority Act, 1987.

The Committee is functioning as per the Scheme, Regulations and Legal Services Authority Act, 1987. The Act is as follows:

  Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Autshority Regulation, 2003

  Chhattisgarh State Lok Adalat Scheme, 2003.
